Puck This Hockey Club
It started with a homemade shirt and led to a community. The first “wee-woo” design was created to meet the need for a hockey shirt that was affordable, cute, and spirited. That led to learning how to screen print, making way too many test prints, making a TikTok, and ultimately finding a community of cool and amazing hockey fans.
The mission of Puck this Hockey Club is to create quality hockey merch that is accessible at different price points and to add a little whimsy to sports merchandise. The idea started with a trinket swap at the Sirens’ last home game during the 2025 - 2026 season. I made a few too many test prints and decided to bring them to the game to see if anyone would be interedte in one. The energy was amazing and I quickly ran out of prints and met some amazing people. A few asked what was the plan for the design in the future and that was enough for me to look into how to create more options beyond a paper print.
The “wee-woo” design is inspired by the PWHL and the NY Sirens, with their famous rallying cry. The aesthetics of the design take inspiration from felt pennant flags and retro screen-print T-shirts from the 70s.
